The Certificate Course in Golf Management is the first specialized golf management course in India and is recognized by the Golf Course Superintendents & Managers Association of India. The 6-month course will prepare students for a career in the golf industry.

The golf industry is one of the most rewarding and remunerating segments in the sports industry. The job opportunities and pay scales in this sport are much superior to those in the other regular sports. However, golf is a niche, specialized sport and anyone wishing to join this industry needs thorough professional training in the domain.

The course delivers an ideal blend of academic inputs in the various functions of management. and practical training that focusses on the management of golf. The students will be trained in the knowledge and skills required in this filed, and get hands-on exposure to the best practices prevalent in the industry.

Course overview

This course has been designed to address the growing need for professionally trained resources in the area of golf management. As the sport of golf makes rapid strides in India and abroad, the demand for people who have the knowledge and skills to manage the sport – including course management, tournament and event management, player and team management, etc. has grown exponentially. This creates an opportunity for trained professionals to find exciting careers in this field.

Course design and delivery

The course will be delivered online with the help of scientifically designed study material including Audio-Visual lectures and online video counseling. The course has been divided into four terms, with an online examination at the end of each term. The qualification score for admission into the next term is 70%. The 4th term will include a Capstone Project, which every student will have to complete and submit as a necessary part of course completion. Registered students will have access to all the study material until the completion of the course.

Applicants need to be of minimum 18 years of age on the day of issuance of the certificate and should have successfully attained the Indian 10th standard (or equivalent) or higher educational qualification.

Course fees

Program fees for the certificate course in golf management: Rs. 70,000 including GST.

This includes the cost of access to all the study material, audio-video recordings, mentoring sessions, the term exams, assessment, Capstone Project assessment and issuance of the certificate.
